The winter soft wheat variety Elehiia was developed by specialists at the Bila Tserkva Experimental Breeding Station. It is included in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine and is mentioned in scientific works in the context of adaptive breeding for the conditions of the Forest-Steppe and Polissya.
In agronomic literature, this variety should be distinguished from other objects with a similar name, such as the 'Elehiia myronivska' variety, red fescue, or maize hybrids. Detailed morphological descriptions of the Bila Tserkva variety are presented fragmentarily in open sources.
