The variety has a growing period of about 101.3 days. It is characterized by a tendency to lodging, which may require the use of growth regulators.

The genotype of the variety contains the Lr10 resistance gene to wheat leaf rust. The yield of the variety with proper disease protection is comparable to late-maturing spring wheat varieties.

The variety has traditionally been used in Finland as a control in comparative grain quality analyses, and has also served as a model object in scientific research on the adaptation of cereal crops.
