The variety is the result of crossing the lines V 81/12, US6043, Prieur, VPM, and Moisson. It belongs to the group of semidwarf varieties that became widespread in France in the second half of the 20th century.
In scientific research, the variety is characterized as resistant to the effects of stress factors during the meiosis period; in particular, it exhibits reduced sensitivity to low temperatures and light levels. It is distinguished by low variability in spike length.
