The variety was obtained as a result of breeding work at the Probstdorfer Saatzucht center. The plant belongs to the semi-dwarf forms of winter soft wheat. In the 1980s, the variety was widely distributed and occupied about a third of the wheat cultivation areas in Austria.

The plant possesses adequate lodging resistance, as well as moderate resistance to powdery mildew and leaf and glume blotch. The grain of the variety is traditionally classified as high-quality raw material suitable for use in the baking industry.
