The variety is a modern pure line that appears in lists of wheat varieties used in scientific research on grain quality and pathogen resistance testing.

Under experimental conditions, the Quatuor genotype demonstrated susceptibility to specific races of stem rust, particularly in the presence of the Sr38 gene.
