The variety Quotador is used as a reference sample in international variety testing methodologies (DUS tests). Its use is regulated by the standards of the Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO) and other relevant organizations.
The plant is characterized by very strong glaucosity (waxy bloom) on the ear, as well as on the part of the stem between the flag leaf and the base of the ear. Information regarding other agronomic and morphological characteristics of the variety is not available in open sources.
