Variety description

The variety belongs to the erythrospermum botanical variety. The ear is cylindrical or slightly spindle-shaped, medium length and increased density; it acquires a bronze shade under high insolation. The grain is red, ovate-oval, with a thousand kernel weight of 38–43 g. Awns are of medium strength, spreading to the sides.

The plant possesses complex resistance to diseases: it is weakly affected by Fusarium head blight and is characterized by resistance to leaf rust, loose smut, and tan spot (Pyrenophora tritici-repentis). The variety demonstrates high gluten quality and a protein content of 12.8–13.8%; the flour strength is 340–530 alveograph units.

It is intended for cultivation using intensive and conventional technologies in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones; sowing on rainfed lands and under irrigation is possible. The variety reacts negatively to early sowing dates.
