The variety is the result of breeding work and is a genotype originating from the cross of parent forms Colosseo and Simeto. In scientific literature, it often serves as an object of research on the technological properties of grain, including indicators of semolina quality, pasta, protein content and gluten properties, as well as antioxidant activity.

The variety is included in European agricultural plant catalogs, where code numbers are sometimes indicated for it, for example S 310. Detailed agronomic characteristics, such as precise plant height parameters or lodging resistance scores, are presented fragmentarily in open publications.
