The variety has a genetic connection to the Trinakria variety and is characterized by a relatively long growing season. Morphologically, it belongs to modern semi-dwarf or medium-height wheat types.

The plant is sensitive to a deficiency of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and demonstrates a decline in growth indicators under salt and osmotic stress. Compared to local Sicilian populations, the variety possesses lower allelopathic activity.

The variety's output has high gluten strength index values. The grain is intended for the production of high-quality flour and semolina suitable for the pasta industry.
