The Bondka variety belongs to spring forms of spelt. The grain is distinguished by an increased protein content (up to 19.2%), the presence of yellow pigment and antioxidants, as well as a high level of wet gluten.
Plants of the variety possess good resistance to diseases and pests, including the presence of antixenosis factors in leaf tissues, which affect the behavior of Rhopalosiphum padi aphids. Like other spelt types, it is a hulled wheat that requires specialized equipment for grain cleaning.
The variety is positioned as a promising raw material for the production of pasta and an object of scientific research on the adaptation of ancient wheat species to modern agricultural conditions.
