The variety was developed through selection from a population resulting from a cross between a Triticum dicoccum line and Triticum turgidum subsp. durum. The crop possesses good resistance to diseases and lodging, and exhibits high adaptability to growing conditions.

The grain of the variety is suitable for the production of bakery products and can be used as a forage crop for hay. The flour is distinguished by a high protein content, and the dough possesses good gas-retaining capacity. Research indicates low reactivity of gliadins in this variety.
