The variety belongs to winter forms and is distinguished by high resistance to lodging, which sets it apart from other emmer species. The variety exhibits excellent disease resistance, in particular to yellow rust, and shows high yield, reaching husked grain output levels of 40–50 dt/ha.
Technologically, the grain of this variety is characterized by hardness comparable to spelt and good baking qualities. During processing, the kernel yield is comparable to that of spelt, and the use of the variety in the food industry is oriented toward the production of ancient grain products.
