The variety is a hulled wheat that requires a mandatory dehulling process to remove the glumes before processing. The grain of this variety is characterized by a high content of phenolic compounds, in particular p-coumaric acid.

In agronomic research, the variety is considered a valuable genetic material. In specific areas in Italy, a yield of 1.70 t/ha was recorded. The variety is used in the production of flour and whole grain bakery products.
