The variety belongs to spelt and is characterized by a long, unstable stem. In comparative trials, the yield of the variety is about 55 dt/ha of raw grain. The plant is prone to lodging and is susceptible to diseases, including rust, which may require the use of fungicides in intensive farming systems.

The variety is used as a food crop. Its milling, dough, and baking properties are being studied as part of an assessment of its suitability for premium food products.
