The variety is a low-growing creeping shrub 15 to 30 cm tall with long shoots up to 1–2 m, forming a dense ground cover. It has high frost resistance, withstanding temperatures down to -25...-30°C.

Fruiting begins in August–September, harvest is possible until frost. Berries reach 20 mm in diameter and 1.5 g in weight, have a dark red color, glossy skin, and a tart, astringent taste. The produce is suitable for fresh consumption, processing, and freezing; yield is up to 1.5–2 kg per sq. m.

The plant has a dual purpose: ornamental, thanks to its evergreen foliage and fruits, and fruit-bearing for cultivation in home gardens and plantations.
