The plant is an evergreen creeping shrub 15–30 cm tall with filiform shoots capable of rooting. In winter, the foliage acquires a reddish or orange hue. The variety is characterized as mid-early or late with an extended fruiting period.

The berries have a rounded or round-flat shape, bright or dark red color with a waxy bloom, and their diameter reaches 1.9–2 cm. The fruits have a high content of anthocyanins and antioxidants. The taste of the berries is tart with a slight bitterness before the onset of frost.

The variety is self-fertile; cross-pollination is recommended to improve yield. Acidic moist soil with a pH of 3.0–5.5 is required for cultivation. When using the variety, it is important to consider that different genotypes may be encountered under this name in different collections.
