The variety was obtained as a result of the selection of cranberry clones that grew in the Žuvintas Biosphere Reserve. The plant is intended for industrial cultivation on plantations.
Morphologically, the variety is characterized by the presence of larger and thicker leaves, as well as an increased fruit size compared to typical wild-growing forms. Studies indicate the susceptibility of the plants to fungal diseases, including infection of the berries by the pathogen Monilinia oxycocci.
