The variety was obtained as a result of selective breeding of productive clones of wild-growing cranberries collected in the Žuvintas Biosphere Reserve. The bushes have moderate growth, with medium-sized ovate leaves. Flowering begins in the first ten days of June; the flowers are pink and gathered in inflorescences of 3–4.
The berries ripen in the first half of September and have a turnip-like shape, light red color, and white flesh. The variety is noted as susceptible to fungal diseases, in particular, it is often affected by the fungus Monilinia oxycocci.
