The variety forms a dense rosette of thick and fleshy "savoy"-type leaves, which have a slightly crumpled texture. The leaves have a delicate consistency and a mild nutty flavor, which intensifies in cold weather.

The plant is characterized by high winter hardiness and is suitable for harvesting from autumn to spring. The growing period is from 45 to 80 days. The variety shows good resistance to bolting and withstands transportation better than varieties with thin leaves.

The crop is suitable for open field cultivation, as well as in containers. It prefers well-drained soils. The variety was historically used by market gardeners due to its ability to retain freshness for a long time after harvest.
