The variety forms compact, dense rosettes of small, spoon-shaped dark green fleshy leaves. Plant height varies from 10 to 30 cm. The leaves possess a characteristic mild nutty flavor.

The plant is slow-growing; maturity for harvest occurs 50–60 days after sowing. The variety possesses high cold tolerance and winter hardiness, which allows it to be used for autumn-winter harvests.

The variety is undemanding regarding growing conditions, suitable for open field and greenhouses. Sowing is carried out from August to September or in early spring. The crop grows well on various types of soils, preferring calcareous clay soils.
