The variety is an interspecific hybrid obtained by crossing the varieties Severny and Schwarzmann. As a rootstock form, it is characterized by medium-vigorous growth and good compatibility with varieties such as Traminer Rose, Riesling, Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir.

The plant possesses high resistance to frost, drought, and phylloxera. It develops well on clay, sandy, and well-warmed soils, but is sensitive to excess lime, not tolerating soils with an active calcium content of more than 10%.
