Variety description

The variety is autochthonous to the Galicia region in Spain and the Minho region in Portugal. The vine is characterized by vigorous growth. Clusters are small, cylindrical or cylindro-conical in shape. Berries are small or medium, yellowish-green in color with thick skin, and may acquire a pinkish hue upon ripening.

The variety belongs to the early maturity group. Yield is average and unstable, especially under high humidity. The variety shows drought tolerance but is susceptible to fungal diseases, particularly powdery mildew, and requires protection under high humidity conditions.

The grapes are intended exclusively for winemaking. They produce white wines with vibrant acidity, whose aromatic profile is dominated by notes of citrus, stone fruits, white flowers, and mineral undertones.
