A late-maturing variety intended exclusively for winemaking. The leaf is pentagonal, five-lobed, weakly dissected, bright green in color, with a glossy surface and felt-like pubescence on the underside. The flower is hermaphroditic; the variety is self-pollinating.
The cluster is small or medium, cylindrical-conical in shape, dense or of medium density. The berry is small, round, white, acquiring a reddish tint upon ripening. The pulp is juicy, the skin is thin. Yield is low.
The variety has low resistance to major fungal diseases, but is resistant to gray mold (Botrytis cinerea). Requires covering the vines for winter. Wines from this grape are characterized by high acidity, good structure, and the ability to undergo long aging.
