The variety is a wine grape used for the production of white wines, primarily in blends. It belongs to the late-ripening group. The flower is hermaphroditic. The leaf is rounded, small, five-lobed, medium to deeply dissected, with dense tomentose pubescence on the underside.

The variety is considered unstable, susceptible to downy mildew, black rot, and prone to flower abortion. Wines from this grape possess a moderate alcohol content and a characteristic intense aroma with notes of flint. The primary cultivation region is the Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh appellation.
