The Aspiran gris variety, also known as Rivairenc gris, originates from the Languedoc region. It is a late variety characterized by late bud break, which protects it from spring frosts. Stony and well-warmed soils are preferred for cultivation.
The plant is sensitive to winter frosts and major fungal diseases, including downy mildew, powdery mildew, and gray mold. The berries have juicy flesh with a spicy sweet taste. Wines produced from this group of grapes are distinguished by their lightness, low coloration, and delicate aroma.
