Variety description

The vines are medium-sized with upright shoots and moderate lateral shoot formation. The vine wood matures well. Bunches have an average weight of 300–350 grams, are loose and conical in shape. Berries are medium-sized, round, dark blue in color with a thick waxy bloom.

The variety possesses increased resistance to fungal diseases, however, it may show sensitivity to Oidium. Frost resistance of the vine and buds is from -22 to -25 °C. Yield is stable and at a medium level; it requires yield management to achieve high-quality winemaking raw materials.

The grape is characterized by high sugar accumulation. Wines from this variety are characterized by saturated color, full body, pronounced tannin structure, and fruit aromas with dominant cherry notes. The variety is suitable for creating wines intended for aging in barriques and for use in blends.
