Variety description

A mid-season variety with a growing period of 110–140 days. The vines have medium vigor, and buds break late, which reduces the risk of damage from spring frosts. The leaves are large or medium, three-lobed, and slightly incised. The clusters are of medium size, and the berries are round, dark violet in color with a waxy bloom.
It belongs to the category of fungus-resistant varieties (PIWI) with good resistance to downy mildew; however, there is data regarding susceptibility to powdery mildew, botrytis, and bunch necrosis. Winter hardiness is up to –25 °C. Yield is high, reaching 140–160 c/ha.
A wine variety for industrial winemaking. The wines are distinguished by intense color, high extract, rich tannins, and aromas of cherry with spicy notes. The sugar content of the juice is 20–22 g/100 ml with an acidity of about 8 g/l.
