Variety description

The variety belongs to the species Vitis vinifera. The vines have strong growth and an upward-directed shoot development type, and the flowers are hermaphroditic. The variety is characterized by good winter hardiness, but is demanding regarding climatic conditions and site quality for cultivation.

The vegetation period is characterized by very late bud burst and a mid-late ripening period for the berries. Bunches are medium or large in size, with varying density. The berries are oval, medium-sized, and dark blue, almost black, in color.

Wines produced from this variety have a velvety structure with pronounced fruit notes and soft tannins.
