Variety description

The variety belongs to the very late maturity group and requires favorable planting sites. Plants are vigorous, with upright shoot growth and a tendency to form lateral shoots, which requires the use of high trellising. Bunches are medium or large in size, moderately dense or loose, with round blue-black berries.

The variety demonstrates high drought tolerance and good winter hardiness, as well as resistance to Botrytis. A tendency towards desiccation of bunch tips is observed. Yield is stable, with reliable flowering.

The grapes are used exclusively in winemaking. The resulting wines have an intense dark color, high extract, and rich tannins; notes of blackcurrant predominate in the aroma. The wines are suitable for long aging and use in blends.
