The variety belongs to the species Vitis vinifera and was obtained as a result of breeding work, presumably including such varieties as Calmeria, Muscat d'Alexandrie and Sultana. In international grape databases, the variety is registered under number 13720.

The berries of the variety are characterized by a white, yellow-green color. The variety is used mainly as a table grape for fresh consumption, as well as an object of scientific research for studying storage methods and protection against pathogens.
