A variety of folk selection that originated in the Struma River basin. Vines are characterized by medium vigor, and the variety belongs to the late ripening group. Keratsuda possesses low frost resistance and susceptibility to downy mildew and powdery mildew, while being drought and heat tolerant, and relatively resistant to grey mold.
Clusters are medium-sized, dense, and cylindrical in shape. Berries are oval, medium-sized, with greenish-yellow skin. The flesh is slightly fleshy, with a harmonious, sweet taste. Sugar content is 19–20%, acidity is 5–6 g/dm³.
Wines from this variety are characterized by lightness and aromas of pear, apricot, and flowers. Due to the thick, elastic skin, the variety is also suitable for the production of orange wines using the prolonged maceration method, which provides the finished product with an amber color and a tannic structure.
