Variety description

The variety is a natural hybrid of the Pinot and Gouais Blanc varieties. Young shoots have tomentose pubescence; mature leaves are entire or five-lobed, blistered, with recurved margins. Small conical bunches consist of rounded berries of a greenish-yellow or golden color with thin, firm skin.

The plant has medium vigor with semi-erect shoots. The variety belongs to the mid to late maturity group, is characterized by productivity and relative resistance to grey mold, while being susceptible to powdery mildew and downy mildew. The purpose of the variety is exclusively for winemaking; wine produced from it is characterized by high acidity and a mineral profile.
