The variety is of Italian origin, where it is known as Trebbiano, and is distinguished by early bud burst and late berry ripening. Vines are medium-vigorous, tending toward strong growth on fertile soils. Clusters are medium, conical or cylindrical-conical, often winged, of medium density or dense.

Berries are medium, round, white or golden-white in color with firm, thick skin, which provides resistance to grey mold. The pulp is succulent, with a neutral taste. The variety is relatively drought-tolerant, possesses medium resistance to downy mildew and good resistance to powdery mildew, but is sensitive to wind due to shoot fragility.

The yield of the variety is 90–110 c/ha. Wines and base wines based on it possess high acidity, a "light body," and aromas of citrus, green apple, and white flowers, which makes them ideal for distillation.
