The variety is the result of crossing the Grenache and Aramon varieties. The plant is characterized by an upright vine growth habit and late fruit ripening. The crop is well-suited for short pruning and the gobelet training system.
The variety possesses resistance to gray mold, but can be susceptible to mite infestation. A characteristic feature is a tendency toward millerandage, which is the formation of a large number of small berries.
