The variety is the result of breeding work to preserve the local grape gene pool from Transylvania. It is officially recognized as a clone and is used in winemaking due to the high acidity and freshness of the resulting raw material.

During studies, the clone demonstrated average tolerance to black rot caused by the fungus Guignardia bidwellii. Detailed data on ripening dates and morphological parameters of the vine are not presented in publicly available materials.
