Variety description

The variety is a hybrid of Riesling and Pinot blanc, bred in the 1930s. The vines have medium vigor. The clusters are small, weighing 100–150 g, conical or cylindrical in shape, often with a wing, and of medium density. The berries are round, greenish-yellow or gray-yellow in color, weighing 2–3 g, with a thick skin.

The grapes are of mid-season maturity, and in certain climatic conditions, it is noted as early-mid. The variety is characterized by frost resistance down to -18°C and the ability to adapt to various soils, showing the best results on cool hills. The yield of the variety varies depending on growing conditions.

Wines from this grape possess good body and balance. In their youth, the aromatics are fruity-floral, while during aging, the wines develop honeyed and characteristic 'petrol' notes typical of Riesling. The variety has a high potential for storage and aging of the finished product.
