Variety description

The variety is characterized by a late ripening period and golden-yellow berries, which is why it is often called Uva d'Oro. Genetic studies have confirmed that this grape is the same variety as the historical Dorona di Venezia.

The plant is used both for wine production, including passito-type sweet wine, and as a table grape. The variety possesses resistance to drought and fungal diseases, while being susceptible to powdery mildew.

Currently, the variety is rare and is cultivated on a limited basis primarily in the Veneto region, Italy.
