This trait is not measured quantitatively; however, it is evaluated within the framework of state variety testing by comparing the variety with a regionalized standard. The assessment is conducted in various soil and climatic zones, which allows for identifying the stability and plasticity of the variety when changing growing conditions.
The resistance and efficiency of a variety depend on how well its origin corresponds to the farm's agro-climatic zone.
