Blanc de Lomagne is a traditional garlic population adapted to the clay-limestone soils of the Gers and Tarn-et-Garonne departments. The variety belongs to winter types planted in the autumn period.
The bulbs have a white or cream-white color, sometimes with purple streaks. Inside, they contain 8 to 12 cloves of uniform size. In culinary use, this garlic is valued for its powerful taste and intense aroma, and is used both fresh and thermally processed.
