The variety is a medium-height plant reaching a height of 40–60 cm. It has bright green, heavily and finely curled leaves with a dense structure. It belongs to mid-late or late-ripening varieties intended for autumn-winter consumption.

The plant possesses high cold tolerance and is capable of withstanding frosts down to -15°C and below. Under the influence of low temperatures, sugars accumulate in the leaves, which makes their taste more tender and sweetish. The variety is versatile in culinary use and can be used for decorative purposes.
