The plant belongs to the kale group and does not form a tight head. Its leaves have an elongated shape, a crinkled texture, and a very dark, almost black shade of green.

The variety is early-maturing: young leaves can be suitable for use in salads 40 days after planting. The plant possesses good endurance and resistance to low temperatures. The leaves are distinguished by a tender texture and are traditionally used in cooking for braising and preparing various dishes.
