The variety is early, with a ripening period of 53 to 65 days after transplanting. The plant forms a sturdy stem, on which are located blistered leaves up to 25 cm long, curled inward. No head is formed, the leaf color varies from dark green to almost black with a bluish bloom.

The plant is characterized by high tolerance to low temperatures, withstanding frosts down to -18 degrees, after which the taste of the leaves becomes sweeter. Marketable yield is 4.0–7.0 kg/m². The variety is used in cooking for preparing soups, stews, and side dishes, and is also valued for its ornamental qualities.
