The Dvorského pražská bílá raná variety was developed through many years of breeding work that began in the mid-19th century. The initial material used was the regional "Prague White Rutabaga" variety. In 1941, this variety was included in the first historical list of approved varieties.
The plant belongs to the early maturity group. Historically, the variety was intended for cultivation in vegetable plots and fields. It served as the basis for the development of the Swiss Roggli-s Kohlrabi variety, known for its resistance to premature bolting.
