The plant forms a compact mound-shaped bush 46–61 cm wide with mid-green foliage. Flowering begins in the first year and continues from spring through the end of summer, attracting butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds.
The variety possesses high drought tolerance once established, is tolerant to rainy conditions, and demonstrates resistance to downy mildew. Winter hardiness of the root system corresponds to USDA zone 5 (down to -31.7°C).
