Variety description

The shrub forms a dense rounded crown 0.9–1.5 m in height and width. The foliage is lanceolate, ranging from light green to a glaucous-green shade, slightly pubescent. Fuchsia-colored flowers are gathered in paniculate inflorescences 10–20 cm long, possessing a honey aroma.

The plant blooms from June to October. The variety has winter hardiness down to -29°C (USDA zone 5) and requires a sunny location with well-drained soil. The shrub is non-invasive due to the formation of a small amount of seeds and is often used in landscape design for creating borders or container gardening.
