Buddleja Courtabud, known commercially under the brand name Operette, is a compact shrub with a height of 100–150 cm and a width of 60–90 cm. The plant is characterized by medium-green foliage and fragrant purple-red or violet-lilac inflorescences 25–30 cm in length.

The flowering period lasts from July to September. The variety possesses high winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zones 5–9, and is capable of withstanding temperatures down to -20°C. The plant is used in gardening and attracts bees and butterflies.
