The variety belongs to bud-blooming plants: its buds do not open fully, which allows the color to be preserved for a long time. The bud color is purple-red; the foliage is grey-green with green young growth.
The plant habit is upright. Three years after planting without pruning, the plant reaches 50 cm in height and width. Flowering begins in mid-August and continues until October.
There is a form «Frühe Lisbeth», which is a selection mutation that blooms 14 days earlier than the main variety.
