The plant reaches a height of 20–60 cm and possesses needle-like dark green foliage. The variety is late-flowering; bud coloration begins in October and persists until December. The buds do not open fully, which ensures their resistance to rain, fog, and frost.
The variety possesses high winter hardiness and is undemanding. It prefers sunny or semi-shaded areas with acidic, sandy, and loose soil in the absence of moisture stagnation. It is used in landscape design, for creating borders, group plantings, as well as a container crop.
