The plant has a dense, bushy habit. The height of the bush is 40–50 cm, width — 30–45 cm. The evergreen needle-like foliage is medium green in summer and acquires a deep purple-green hue in winter.
The variety belongs to the group of bud-flowering heathers with dark violet buds that do not open completely. The decorative appearance is maintained from August to November and longer, as the buds do not turn brown.
Prefers sunny or semi-shaded locations with acidic, loose, and humus-rich soils. Winter hardiness of the variety corresponds to USDA zone 5.
