The Liora variety is a cultivated form of Calluna vulgaris. It is included in the registered variety lists of the German Federal Plant Variety Office (Bundessortenamt).
The variety was bred by breeder Helmut Hiedl and is specifically oriented towards use in landscape design and potted plant production. Detailed morphological characteristics of the plant are not available in open publications.
